Medical/Dental Records Supervisor
|Salary Range:||$32,000 - $35,000/annually d.o.e.|

|Description:||Supervises and participates in all functions related to medical records to ensure optimal accessibility of medical records, timely filing of information into the chart, data integrity, collections, increases reimbursement, accurate appointment schedules, high quality customer service and efficient and effective operations to meet the organization and department goals at an assigned Family First Health site. |
|Duties:||Summary of Duties for this Position:|
Participates in the recruitment of and directly supervises HIM staff.
Participates in subordinates approximately 50% of the time; particularly in cases of staff absences and high patient volume.
Ensures medical records are accessible at time of appointment.
Ensures that all medical information is filed in the correct chart within 5 business days.
Ensures that requests for information are processed within 5 working days.
Monitors quality of department work and provides employees with timely feedback including timely completion of performance evaluations.
Directs schedulers in the optimal fulfillment of provider schedules including accommodating walk-ins to ensure that each provider’s schedule is filled according to scheduling guidelines on a daily basis.
Monitors chart tracking process to achieve a minimum of 90 % accuracy. Facilitates the delivery of excellent customer service to all internal and external customers by the HIM staff.
Addresses and documents patient complaints and incidents that occur that are related to HIM and determines appropriate resolutions involving other staff and departments as required.
Diligently monitors employee leave and benefit time usage. Completes payroll submission each pay period accurately and in a timely fashion.
|Qualifications:||Associates degree in health or business related field or 2(+) years direct medical records experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.|
